DEAN SNOOK

Rosie, the Australian musical premiered January 1999 at the MEC, starring Gold Logie winner Hazel Phillips and written by Peter Stannard.

Dean's classical ballet training allowed him to play the role of Nijinski.

In 2001, Dean played Ajax B in OPERA HUNTER's comic opera La Belle Helene, following Civic Theatre's 2000 season of Les Mis.

La Belle Helene was performed at the Newcastle Concert Hall and it's season included several shows at the historic Maitland Town Hall.

Dean's versatile vocal range doesn't limit his choice of roles; he performed as a Principal Tenor in La Belle but is equally at home as a baritone.

Indeed, Dean's last role at the Manning Entertainment Centre was as Miles Gloriosus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum in November 2001, one of STEPHEN SONDHEIM's earliest works.

Forum saw Dean combining operatic baritone again with comedy.

One of Dean's most challenging roles was that of Garry LeJeune in Noises Off! staged March - April 2000.

Every night he "fell" down a twelve foot flight of stairs. He's very pleased not to have to fall off or down anything in his latest performance!
